Jennifer’s abstract acrylic work focuses on color: the play and movement of color, the juxtaposition between colors, and each person’s unique experience of and relationship with color. Her goal is to create work with visual impact which elicits an individual and personal response from the viewer through the choice and interplay of color.
In addition to her painting, Jennifer has been a dyer for nearly 16 years, opening Spirit Trail Fiberworks in January, 2003. She dyes luxury yarns for textile artists, and also creates one-of-a-kind, hand-painted silk scarves and other ready-to-wear accessories. Her silks and accessories are available for purchase in the Blue Ridge Artisans gallery, which she opened in September, 2016.
