15th Annual

Fall Art Tour

Join us for one of the premier events in Virginia, the Fall Art Tour of the Artists of Rappahannock, held each year on the first full weekend of November.  Our 15th annual tour takes place on November 2 – 3, 2019,  in the shadow of the Shenandoah National Park in Rappahannock County, Virginia. Over 100 artists, in more than 40 studios and galleries, participated in the Fall Art Tour in 2018! Many of our award-winning artists are nationally and internationally recognized and creative works on the Tour include painting, sculpture, pottery, glass, forged ironwork, jewelry, textiles and photography.

The Tour starts at the Washington School, 567 Mount Salem Avenue, Washington, VA. For information please see Plan Your Visit.

The Fall Art Tour is brought to you by the Rappahannock Association for Arts and Community, the flagship nonprofit organization founded in 1982 which offers art programs in multiple disciplines to the Rappahannock and surrounding communities.

What People are Saying

“A Great Find”

What I love about the art tour is the element of surprise…you never know what each new location will bring. Each home, studio and gallery is uniquely inspirational. And the diversity of styles, mediums and forms of artistic expression is truly amazing.
– Sean R., Washington DC

“Fabulous Scenery & Incredible Art”

I look forward to the art tour every year.  Not only do you get to experience and observe incredible artworks of all kinds made by artists throughout the Rappahannock countryside, you also get to step into the artists’ personal studios, talk to them about their methods and inspiration, and gain a unique and special perspective on their work.  It makes for an remarkable and memorable time, elevated further by the spectacular landscape and fall colors.
– Hope H., Washington, DC.

“A Wonderful experience”

I have attended the Art Tour for the past four years. I look forward to visiting the inspiring studios of artists that show their work each year but also discovering new artists as the tour continues to grow. I especially enjoy sharing it with my father and seeing him entranced by all the different types of art and engaged in conversations with the artists on concepts and their process.
