S-O-S — Support Our Schools this Fall Art Tour Weekend!

This Saturday, November 6, 2021, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm,  five Rappahannock schools will be exhibiting their students’ artwork in their own gallery at the Washington School! The invitation from the Art Tour committee — to create a collaborative mural (or art installation) with your own chosen theme that will be hung on the walls of the spacious gym that traditionally hosts 100’s of works by Art Tour artists (but not this pandemic year.)

The schools include Rappahannock County Elementary School and High School, Belle Meade Montessori School, Wakefield Country Day School, and Wonderful Wednesdays.  The teams of artists range from Kindergarteners to 12th graders. While each piece is unique, there are common threads that unite them — every child is creative & imaginative, and by working & problem-solving together they can create something valuable and beautiful.

Meet the young artists and their teachers this Saturday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at The Washington School, 567 Mt. Salem Avenue, Washington, VA 22747.

Can’t make it this Saturday?  The show will be up through the month of November during business hours, Monday through Friday, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
