Gay Street Gallery's exhibit featuring new work fr Gay Street Gallery's exhibit featuring new work from Nancy Nord, Patricia Brennan, Sara Adams, and Barbara Heile, as well as new items from the personal collection of the Gallery owners and items from the archives of Kevin H. Adams, continues through October 8. Be sure to visit this beautiful gallery in an historic building, believed to be one of the oldest continually operating mercantile buildings in the Commonwealth of Virginia. The main structure was constructed circa 1836 by James B. Jones, and it was known as Jones’ Store for most of its history. A beautiful building full of beautiful local and national art! Tina Falkenbury is joined by her husband, Paul, an Tina Falkenbury is joined by her husband, Paul, and daughter, Lena, for this year's Fall Art Tour! Tina is inspired by the landscape of Rappahannock and utilizes photography, mixed media collage and oil with cold wax to create her art. Paul also takes inspirations from the Rappahannock landscape and expresses his art in abstract paintings. Dennis is a new artist to the Tour this year, and we're so excited to welcome him and his beautiful work! The Fall Art Tour is coming! The Tour map will be available online for visitors the week before the Tour, to plan their tour from the location that works best for them. Be sure to visit the Washington School in beautiful Washington, VA, which houses the Main Gallery, featuring work from each artist and gallery on the Tour. Visitors go on a self-guided tour down Rappahannock's bucolic roads and byways to visit the galleries and studios they most want to see. Stop for a quick lunch in one of our many local dining options, and perhaps end your day with a wine, micro-brew, or distillery tasting.
