New Exhibition with featured artist Aster da Fonse New Exhibition with featured artist Aster da Fonseca

August 18 – October 16, 2023
Opening reception: Saturday, August 19, 4:00 – 6:00 pm.

The show features the work of Aster, returning artist Adam Waimon, and Kevin H. Adams.

Aster is a self-taught artist born in Brazil, who moved to Washington, D.C. in the mid-90s and began painting shortly after his arrival there. His work has been shown in many galleries and venues in the D.C. area. He now lives and works in Florida. While Gay Street Gallery has been proud to show some of his work in the past, this is Aster’s first featured exhibition in Little Washington and he will be at the opening to talk with visitors about his beautiful and unique collage paintings.

Adam returns to Gay Street Gallery for another exhibition of his sculptural glass work, primarily engraved blown glass. With a BFA from the Massachusetts College of Art, Adam lives and keeps his studio in Rhode Island, but is frequently in Virginia because of family connections here. His work is included in numerous public and prviate collections throughout the US and abroad.

Resident artist Kevin H. Adams will show landscape paintings from Virginia and elsewhere.
