New Exhibition is now open at Gay Street Gallery, New Exhibition is now open at Gay Street Gallery, featuring work by Rod Glover.

Rod Glover’s botanical collages begin in the quiet act of gathering: plants collected from gardens and local woodlands, pressed and carefully dried before being reassembled into intricate compositions. Circles and mandalas anchor some compositions as spiritual maps, symbols of continuity, return, and renewal. Other compositions reflect various styles of art from 20th century modernism or the romantic arrangements of the Victorian era and the early beginnings of botany.

Born in Illinois, Rob lives and works in Shepherdstown, WV. His varied art education included weaving, paper making, ceramics, painting, nature printing, basketry and sculpture. He has shown widely at galleries in the Washington DC area and was a visiting artist at the American Academy in Rome, Italy (2013/2014). His paintings, collages and mixed media works are in private collections throughout the US and in the UK and Europe.

Visit Gay Street Gallery in Washington, VA to see Rod's work, as well as other artists featured in this exhibition!
