I am a multi-faceted creative individual who expresses that creativity through a variety of mediums including photography, collage, acting, book narration, graphic design and painting.

Originally we purchased a weekend cabin here in 2018, but after falling in love with Rappahannock County, we moved here permanently in 2020. During this time I have photographed the landscapes of Rappahannock and surrounding counties paying particulate attention to how light affects the color, texture, and materials of barns and other decaying structures.

The art I produce ranges from abstract oil and cold wax painting to stylized framed photographs of recognizable landscapes. Recently I’ve been using my photographs to create both digital collages and mixed media paintings using a variety of techniques and textures that primarily reference farm life and landscape. My process involves applying my photographs to a board along with a variety of techniques, textures and layers of paint. The finished pieces evoke a sense of time and place unique to the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia.

Our studio is in the lower level walkout of our house. We intentionally designed the space so we could indulge our creative process without worrying about making a mess. For the tour we set up our garage as a gallery so visitors can easily view the art.
