Printmaker & oil painter, Kate Anderson’s studio/gallery is located at 7-A River Lane in the River District, Sperryville Va. The gallery is open 12 – 5 the 1st weekend of every month or by appointment, 540-742-2571.
Combining memory and imagination, Kate’s landscapes are predominately inventions. She uses memory as a selective editing tool that magnifies certain elements while omitting others. What remains is a highly personal vision with meanings that contain many private associations. Things that relate within the landscape, her personal history, and thoughts about loss and the inevitability of change.
