MIDDLE STREET GALLERY

“RHYMES AND ECHOES”
Tim Carrington

June 14 – July 21, 2024

Middle Street Gallery
311 Gay Street, Lower Level, facing Main Street & across from Ballard’s Gallery
Washington, VA 22747

Hours: Friday – Sunday, 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Tim Carrington’s paintings recycle images from travel, memory and observation. His works draw on his own photographs, notes and sketches. They don’t recreate a scene or episode so much as rhyme with it. Paintings that draw heavily on memory present the echoes of a journey, where the evidence is sifted and rearranged through the filter of time.

The show features oil paintings from Africa, the Dominican Republic and Rappahannock County.
