Joan will be in the gallery on Saturday, December 4, Saturday, Dec 11, and Sunday, Dec 19, from 11 – 5.
The show is composed of plein air paintings painted on-site locally and of larger works created from the smaller studies in the studio. This body of work focuses on rendering the atmosphere and light particles on canvas. Joan is an active member of Plein Air Artists of Fredericksburg, VA, and another smaller group in Rappahannock County.
Joan Wiberg lives in Warrenton Virginia and taught art in private and public school prior to becoming a full-time painter. Joan is a member of Middle Street Gallery in Washington, VA, and is also represented by the Cottage Curator in Sperryville, VA.
